We often hear comments from our customers that "Gild Design's cases all have the same basic design
with four protruding corners―their designs never really change."

Most of the time when a smartphone falls, it tilts and land on one of its four corners.

Ordinary aluminum cases have corners with a thickness uniform with that of the rest of the case.
These carry a risk of deformation when dropped.

Our company ‘s cases are stress tested with 3DCAD,
and we have conducted several drop tests.

We think that actual drop test are of the utmost importance.
Our cases are designed to withstand being dropped several times without deforming.
Designing a case that protects and easy to use led us to using the aforementioned designs.

Gild Design's cases may not be fancy to look at.
Attaching or removing them with the bolt may also take a bit of time.
However, we think providing users with stress-free operation
and a build quality that resists damage due
to falls and bending should be of primary importance in our designs.

We want to provide cases that will protect your phone
for 2 years at the least ― Even if the case has been roughly used.
Smooth Our pursuit of usability
Experimenting over and over again we designed this bumper is to have no uncomfortable
feeling between the bumper and the finger.
It is also possible to use the swipe smoothly.
The Type-C port opening of the case designed for the Nothing Phone (2) is generously sized at 6.5mm vertically (with corner radius R3.25) and 13mm horizontally. This ensures compatibility not only with the original cable but also with a wide range of third-party cables. The screen opening is also designed with ample dimensions, making it compatible with most commercially available screen protector films. The case includes a robust lens guard crafted by machining a solid block of duralumin, providing strong protection for the prominently protruding lens of the Nothing Phone (2).
The pencil is completely covered by the bumper while it is attached,
preventing it from being damaged by accidental falls. 		Fingerprint recognition functionality remains unaffected.
Our Nothing Phone(2) cases also come equipped with a strap hole. The strap is connected on the bottom left of the phone, so it will not interfere with the mouthpiece during phone conversations. The cases can also be easily stored in your pocket. The antenna module areas on the sides are fully exposed, with the bumper avoiding coverage in these regions. All openings are unobstructed, allowing seamless use of 5G connectivity. (Note 2)
Rubber o rings are attached to prevent the screws from losing. Color bolt set (sold separately) (model number: GI-305) Since the bolt size is the same, it can also be used for the Nothing Phone (2) case.
Regarding the Qi wireless charge
The Nothing Phone (2) compatible bumper can be charged with a Qi compatible wireless charger. (Note 1)
Regarding the WIFI、4G、5G、、Bluetooth、GPS、NFC etc
Face recognition → There are no problems while using face recognition and unlocking.
NFC → There are no problem using wifi for both Solid bumper and Solid case. *2
Wifi → There are no problem using 4G for both Solid bumper and Solid case. *2
5G → There are no problem using 4G for both Solid bumper and Solid case. *2
4G → There are no problem using 4G for both Solid bumper and Solid case. *2
Bluetooth → There are no problem using Bluetooth for both Solid bumper and Solid case. *2
GPS → There are no problem using GPS for both Solid bumper and Solid case. *2
*1 Using the Qi wireless charger while the case is attached has the possibilities to lower the charge efficiency due to the 1.5mm thickness of the case that makes a gap between the wireless charger and the Nothing Phone(2). Also, there will be a difference on the charging time depending on the output wattage and the voltage of the adapter the Qi wireless charger.

*2 This product is made of Duralumin, which interrupts the signal from the back of the Nothing Phone(2). It is possible that might lower the phone reception. Using the case in places with a poor reception in the first place can lower the reception of the signal even more. However, there are no problems in places with a good reception.

About recommended protective glass and lens protective glass
Please note that our online store does not sell protective glass or lens protection glass.
We recommend using thin film-type protectors instead of glass-type protectors.
